Bill Kyser

Bill comes with over 60 years of experience and expertise in four vocations--physical fitness, technical rescue, emergency medicine, and disaster preparedness. As a paramedic assigned to commercial deep sea diving operations and urban fire rescue departments, Bill recognized a critical need for providing physical fitness programs that would empower and motivate individuals to embrace healthy lifestyles and encourage them to challenge themselves physically.

Serving with the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam during 1971-72, Bill was initially assigned to the 366th Security Forces as a Sentry Dog Handler. While on assignment at DaNang Airbase, Bill volunteered for and served with the Air Force's elite 3?1h Pararescue Teams for combat search and rescue. After active duty, Bill applied his military skills in public service as an ocean lifeguard, fire rescue paramedic, commercial deep sea rescue diver, and health and fitness expert. In 1980, as a commercial diver, Bill assisted in the creation of the National Association Diver Medical Technicians. In 1984, as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Pompano Beach Fire Department, Bill created, trained, and led Florida's first High Elevation Rescue Team. In 1992, at the request of the USAF 301 st Pararescue Squadron, Bill assisted in the development of both aspiring Pararescuemen as well as training techniques critical to the specialized nature of their combat search & rescue missions.

In 1983, incurring a severe injury, Bill recovered applying unique fitness & nutrition principles which evolved into his nationally renowned SELF (Strength, Endurance, Leanness, & Flexibility) Fitness Program. This conditioning regimen, and the success his clients have experienced for the past 28 years have been featured in corporate reports, magazines, and scientific journals. In 1995, Bill was recognized by Fitness Institute International as Personal Trainer of the Year. Bill has held certifications with the American College of Sports Medicine, Fitness Institute International, the American College of Anti-Aging Sports Medicine Professionals.

In November 1998 Bill was tasked by Republic Services to create & implement AutoNation's Corporate Executive Training Program, a unique and successful wellness effort that includes fitness assessment and training, personal safety programs, corporate conference services, and customized team building events. Bill continues to help manage that program for AutoNation, and is a facilitator for other corporate programs.

From the age of 14 Bill traveled worldwide to gain experience, skills, friendships, and knowledge of other cultures and countries. At 22, BiH solo backpacked around the world, travelling by bike, plane, rail, paddle, sail, rope, and foot. His latest expedition involved training & leading twenty corporate executives through Costa Rica on an adventure vacation for corporate executives now known worldwide as the epic Special Forces Training Academy JungleMan Expedition.

Bill is an avid reader, sportsman, and volunteer. He is an accomplished writer, is a finisher of both Ironman Europe and the World Championship Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii, and considers his greatest achievements being the Father to Josh, 31, and Jordan, 21. Bill resides in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
